Adult learners
Dumfries & Galloway College welcomes all learners, it may surprise you but our average student age is 37, so whether you are:
- Returning to learning after raising a family, to update or learn new skills in preparation for employment
- Looking for a career change
- Wanting to increase your chance of promotion by improving your skills and knowledge
- Retired and looking for a challenge
- Redundant and seeking new skills to get back into the work force
- Unemployed and need help to get back into work
- Entrepreneurial and need some skills and knowledge to support your venture
With our flexible approaches, which include full time, part time and open learning, together with a wide range of study options - we really do have something for everyone.
The learning environment has changed considerably since those school days of the not too distant past. If you didn't have the best experience of school days, you may be a little reluctant to get back into education again. Allow us to change your mind, the learning environment has completely changed. Why not visit us at our open days:
- Tuesday 11 January 5-7pm
