We are excited to announce our new website will be launched very soon. The fresh new design was developed by Visual Communication (graphic design and creative media) students Stuart Wilson and Lauren Woods. The College was in need of a new website design and after approaching our Creative Industries department, Stuart and Lauren took on the live brief as part of their course work.

The College in partnership with Skills Development Scotland (SDS)  are delighted to be supporting the BBC Make It Digital in Scotland, a new pilot course designed to help build the digital and employability skills young people will require in the workplace.   We are one of only four other Colleges in Scotland, taking part in the pilot eight-week pre-employment training programme for 16-24 year olds, designed by the BBC, using inspiration from BBC content and training assets....

The College's Dumfries Campus will be closed today Wednesday 27 January 2016 due to flood water. This applies to all staff, students and visitors. Following an initial review of the damage, it has been decided to close the Dumfries Campus to students for the rest of the week, staff will be expected to attend as normal. Students should return as usual from Monday 1st February. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

  Not sure what route to take after school, looking for a change of career or just wanting to gain further qualifications?   The College is holding an Information Evening on Thursday 11th August between 4-7pm at both our Stranraer and Dumfries campuses. Dumfries and Galloway will have a new ambassador competing on a World Stage in 2017. The College is delighted that Kieran Paterson a 19 year old Carpentry & Joinery Apprentice from Kirkpatrick Fleming will be taking to the stage in Abu Dhabi at the World Skills Olympics in 2017. An award ceremony was held last Thursday night at Dumfries and Galloway College in celebration of Team 23, the latest group to complete the Prince’s Trust 12 week personal development programme.
