Introduction

This course introduces you to several areas of digital skills and the world of business and enterprise.  
The programme is aimed at individuals who would like to re-skill or upskill or those that wish to enter education at an introductory level.  If you are looking for a change in your career then this may be your starting point!

The programme will give you a wide range of skills so that you can progress into any area of further study or help you to gain or further your employment opportunities.

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications or experience are required for this programme, but applicants must demonstrate the ability to work at National 4 level and show a keen interest in multimedia. 

All applicants must attend an Information and Interview Session prior to being offered a place on the course.

If you are currently studying at the college, you will also require a positive Progressing Learner Reference.

Information and Interview Session Requirements

Once we have received your application, you will be asked to attend an informal information and interview session. This may be face to face or virtual either through TEAMS or by phone but remember to tell us all about yourself in your personal statement!

This is a key aspect of the application process. You must confirm your attendance should you be offered an appointment. 

During the information and interview session, we will ensure the entry requirements and your aspirations and career plan are appropriate for the course and the level of course you have applied for. It is therefore important that you prepare well for this.  

As part of your interview, you may be asked to undertake a short skills test.  This will help ensure that you are on the correct level of programme for you.

Course Content

The programme offers you the opportunity to improve your digital skills, and gain knowledge of the new exciting areas that business are engaging with such as, PC Passport which covers Word, Excel and Spreadsheets and an introduction to Business skills such as Enterprise, Marketing and Customer Service.

Assessments are ongoing throughout the year

Progression

Progression can be to any Level 5 programme cross college or the Level 5 National Certificate in Business or the Level 5 Intermediate Computing with E-sports programme.

Career Prospects

Entry Level into any organisation.
