The course has been designed for those who have none or little experience of digital skills and want a good grounding for employment but also offers an opportunity to progress onto further study within many areas of the College.
The course has been reviewed and now includes the latest and most up to date exciting new areas of Digital Skills such as Data Science and Cyber Security.
The course covers the use of Microsoft Office applications software and other topics including, Internet Safety and Online Communications.
The programme also includes the nationally recognised digital qualification PC Passport (Beginner Level) and a National Progression Award in Data Science.
A good starter course for those interested in improving their digital skills.It is an ideal access course for anyone wishing to gain the knowledge and confidence to then progress onto further study.
No formal qualifications or experience are required for this programme, but applicants must demonstrate the ability to work at Intermediate 1 level and show a keen interest in multimedia.All applicants must attend an Information and Interview Session prior to being offered a place on the course.
If you are currently studying at the College, you will also require a positive Progressing Learner Reference.

During the information and interview session, we will ensure the entry requirements and your aspirations and career plan are appropriate for the course and the level of course you have applied for. It is therefore important that you prepare well for this.
Completion of the course may lead to progression to Intermediate Certificate in Computing with E-Sports or various other courses within D&G College
