SVQ in Retail Services at SCQF Level 4

Introduction

The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Retail Skills at SCQF level 4 allows learners to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.

This qualification covers areas such as personal development, health, safety and security and customer service.

Candidates should be in a job or placement where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities, which allow them to gather the required evidence.

No prior qualifications or knowledge are required to undertake this qualification.

Course Content

The candidates have to complete 9 Units to Gain the qualification 2 Mandatory and 7 Optional

Assessments

Standard; As assessment is carried out in the workplace this minimises any time learners would need to be away from their work. These will be conducted by a qualified SVQ Assessor.

Career Prospects

Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised qualification, which guarantees that they have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their role successfully. Employers will also benefit from their employees being proficient.

The qualification is suitable for pre-employment training for those seeking their first job role in retail.
