The Annual Higher National Graduation Ceremonies are taking place on Friday 2nd October 2020 (Stranraer) and Friday 9th October 2020 (Dumfries).
Graduands are asked to complete the Online Registration to confirm their attendance at the Ceremonies, no later than 28th August 2020. Please note if we do not hear from you by 28th August 2020 it will be presumed that you do not wish to attend the ceremony.

- Online Registration will be sent to the last notified e-mail address. Notification of the Graduation Ceremonies, will only be sent by e-mail. No further correspondence will be issued

You will be required to wear Academic Dress – hire details can be viewed online at:
The general code for dress is smart, ie gentleman are requested to wear a tie.
Once you have confirmed your attendance, you will be allocated your own and one/two guest ticket(s) for the ceremony. E-mail confirmation will then be sent to you. Additional guest tickets will cost £12.00 each (£6.00 for children under 12 and Senior Citizens), and will be allocated if space permits. If you require additional tickets these will go on sale from 10.00 am on Monday 10th August 2020, when you should telephone (01387 734000) to confirm availability. You can pay by credit card or cheque, or arrange to come into College to pay by cash, whichever is easiest for you.
Admission to the ceremony will be by e-ticket only. Please ensure that the college is aware of your correct email address
The College publishes the names of all graduands in the programme and, with your consent, in the press. You will be asked to give your consent when you confirm your attendance.
On The Day
The Graduation Ceremonies for 2020 are as follows:
Dumfries - Friday 9th October 2020 - Easterbrook Hall / Crichton Church, Dumfries
Stranraer - Friday 2nd October 2020 - North West Castle Hotel, Stranraer
If attending the Morning Ceremony, you can report in at any time from 9.00 am to the Easterbrook Hall – when you can also collect your gown. Directions are available online at: www.crichton.ac.uk. It is important that you report to the Easterbrook Hall no later than 10.00 am on the day of the ceremony, to register and collect your gown.
It is important that you are in your allotted seat in the church by 10.15 am for the ceremony commencing at 10.30 am – otherwise you will NOT be able to graduate.
If attending the Afternoon Ceremony, you can report in any time from 12.30 to the Easterbrook Hall – when you can also collect your gown. It is important that you report to the Easterbrook Hall no later than 1.30 pm on the day of the ceremony, to register and collect your gown.
It is important that you are in your allotted seat in the church by 1.45 pm for the ceremony commencing at 2 pm – otherwise you will NOT be able to graduate.
Mobile phones must be switched off during the ceremony.
The facilities in the Crichton Church are not ideal for very young children. Please make other arrangements wherever possible, or be prepared to take children outside in the event of any extended noise during the ceremony.
There is disabled access to the church by the side door, for use by disabled, elderly or infirm (there are steep stone steps at the main entrance). Please let us know if you or your guest(s) need any assistance.

There will be an opportunity for you to have a photograph taken, either on your own or with your guests, at your discretion. Details of Success Photography can be viewed online:
The college does not post out commemorative certificates (your formal certificate will be issued directly to you by SQA). If you cannot attend the ceremony, you can collect your certificate from the college, after the date of the ceremony – certificates will only be held for two months.
Photographs and Videos
Graduands and guests attending the ceremonies should be aware that the ceremony will be taking place as a public event and video recordings and photographs will be taken throughout. These may be used by the college for marketing purposes, including in the college prospectus and other brochures, on social media and for signage which may be displayed around the college or at other events.
