Introduction

Entry Requirements

  • Learners must be 18 years or over

  • A basic level of English literacy is required to understand course materials and complete the assessment

  • Access to a computer, tablet, or laptop with internet connection

To complete the course and assessment at home, learners will need:

  • A computer, laptop, or tablet (PC or Mac; tablet may work but some functions may be limited)

  • Reliable internet connection for accessing online learning materials and the assessment

  • Web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari recommended)

  • Camera and microphone (for remote invigilation during the assessment)

  • Valid photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or other accepted form)

  • Optional: Headphones or speakers for watching course videos

Additional Entry Requirements

Important Notice for All Course Attendees To attend and complete the course, you must bring valid photographic identification. Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • A full or provisional UK driving licence

Assessments

Assessment for this course is completed through a Highfield Qualify at Home package, allowing learners to take the exam remotely from home at a time that suits them.

  • Invigilated remotely

  • Designed to confirm knowledge of Scottish licensing law and responsible alcohol retailing
