Please read carefully

The below information relates to the booking of courses through our short, open-learning, fully-funded and evening programs.  

Bookings:

Please note that should you wish to make a telephone booking, written confirmation of the booking will be required subsequently. A confirmation email containing course information will be forwarded to you two/three weeks, or in any event, prior to the course.

Health & Safety:

You are responsible for your Health and Safety at all times during the courses. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with, and observe, any regulations and health and safety advice given by the venue owner. If you have any special requirements, then please make these known when booking the course.

Payment:

Payment must be made in full at the time of booking online with a valid debit or credit card or enclosed with the booking form.                                                           

Payment can be made by calling 01387 734 000. The cost of training is exempt from VAT.

Multiple Booking Discounts:

If a booking is made for a number of delegates from the same organisation a discount may be available.

Please contact us at the time of booking to discuss any discount available.

Cancellation Clause:

Cancellations must be made no later than 14 days prior to the course start date.

If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the course or if the delegate is unable to attend the course, the full fee becomes due immediately and a refund cannot be made.

Cancellation of Courses/Content Amendment:

Courses offered by Dumfries and Galloway College are subject to constant updating and improvement. Dumfries and Galloway College reserve the right to amend course content and vary course fees at any time without prior notice. Occasionally, courses may have to be cancelled. Dumfries and Galloway College reserve the right to cancel courses without liability to delegates. In the event of a cancellation or postponement, delegates will be offered the opportunity to attend the course on an alternative date, to attend an alternative course or to receive a full refund. If any course is cancelled, then the liability of Dumfries and Galloway College is limited to returning to you the cost of the course or offering an alternative course.

Data Protection:

Dumfries and Galloway College asks for basic information on the booking form and online booking portal to facilitate the provision of training courses. Dumfries and Galloway College will retain this data for administration purposes and may be passed to awarding bodies for registration purposes. Dumfries and Galloway College will also keep your information to provide you with information on future courses and events that we believe may be of interest to you. Please refer to the privacy notices on our website www.dumgal.ac.uk. Should you no longer wish to receive any information from the college please email shortcourses@dumgal.ac.uk. In addition, this information will be passed to the training provider.

Good Conduct:

In order to avoid unnecessary disruption to other delegates, Dumfries and Galloway College reserves the right to preclude entry to a course to delegates arriving at the training venue after the course has already started. In the unlikely event that a delegate’s behaviour is disruptive to other delegates, Dumfries and Galloway College reserves the right to ask that delegate to leave the course.

Ownership of Materials:

All courseware, concepts and information presented during a course are copyrighted and remain the property of the copyright owner or the organisation presenting the course. You may not copy, adapt, modify or otherwise duplicate, lend, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, licence, publish, transfer, sell, repackage or modify courseware, concepts and information without the prior written permission of the copyright owner or the organisation presenting the course. By enrolling on a course you do not acquire ownership rights to the support materials.

Other Matters:

Save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Dumfries & Galloway College, Dumfries and Galloway College shall not be liable for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage or any other costs or expenses in the event of the unavoidable cancellation of any course.

Additional Support Needs:

We would strongly advise those requiring support for their particular needs to make this known at the Enquiry / Booking stage. Appropriate support strategies to enable full participation can then be identified. Dumfries and Galloway College is fully committed to providing the highest quality of provision to those with additional support needs but if those needs are not identified prior to the course starting we cannot guarantee to be able to put a strategy in place.
