Introduction
The Scottish Personal Licence Refresher Course is designed for existing Personal Licence holders who are required to complete refresher training to maintain their licence. This course updates learners on current Scottish licensing law, reinforces key responsibilities, and supports continued compliance with licensing conditions.
Delivered online, the course provides a flexible and convenient way for licence holders to refresh their knowledge and meet mandatory requirements, helping to promote responsible alcohol retailing and protect the licensing objectives.
Tutor support is available if required, giving you access to guidance and reassurance throughout your learning journey while still benefiting from the flexibility of online study.
On successful completion, learners receive a Highfield-accredited qualification, accepted by Scottish Licensing Boards and employers nationwide.

To enrol on this course, learners must:

Hold a current Scottish Personal Licence

Be completing refresher training as part of their licence renewal requirement

Have basic English literacy to understand course materials and complete the assessment

To complete the course and assessment at home, learners will need:

A computer, laptop, or tablet (PC or Mac; tablet may work but some functions may be limited)

Reliable internet connection for accessing online learning materials and the assessment

Camera and microphone (for remote invigilation during the assessment)

Assessment is completed online through a Highfield Qualify at Home package, allowing learners to complete the assessment remotely.
