New Bakery Planned for College

Dumfries and Galloway College has announced plans for a new bakery training area at its Stranraer campus.

The college bakery has been confirmed thanks to a generous grant of £14,046 from the Savoy Educational Trust.

Once complete, the new facility will see the installation of specialist bakery ovens as well as full and part-time bakery courses and qualifications becoming available.

In addition, the new development will boost the already excellent hospitality offering at the South of Scotland college’s Stranraer campus.

The Savoy Educational Trust is an independent grant giving charitable trust which aims to promote education, training, and qualifications in the hospitality sector.

Dumfries and Galloway is incredibly grateful to the Savoy Educational Trust for its generosity and looks forward immensely to this development and the new and exciting opportunities it will bring for students.
