Principal’s Welcome

At Dumfries and Galloway College our students come first.  Staff strive to provide students with the best possible student experience and provide opportunities to pick up the skills needed to build their future or progress in their career. I truly believe education is the foundation of society and that it enables us to make a positive contribution to the communities we serve and the local and national economy.

I am proud that the College is the primary destination for learning and skills development in Southwest Scotland and of its recent achievement in becoming the highest performing college in Scotland for full-time higher education passes, demonstrating the expertise and dedication of our staff to provide students with an all-round excellent student experience.

The College offers a curriculum that is focused around eight subject areas and with a wide range of further and higher education courses offered on a full-time, part-time, and remote learning basis. Take a look at the subjects areas on offer. Whether you are looking to build your future, change career, or enhance your skills on the job, the College has a range of courses and qualifications to help you get one step ahead.

The College also aims to enable regional growth and innovation through partnership, learning and skills development that will champion the skills needed for regional economic growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Great pride is taken in our region, and the communities served, and staff look to engage and support College networks in any way they can.
