Solar Photovoltaic Systems (BPEC)

Introduction

This course is intended for qualified electricians and focuses on equipping them with the essential skills and knowledge to install small-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. It also covers the legal aspects of these installations, providing guidance on how to complete and submit the necessary notifications.

This course is a requirement outlined in the Minimum Technical Competency document for PV installers and is recognised by MCS operators as proof of adequate training.

Over three days, candidates will learn how to choose the most suitable solar photovoltaic system for a property, tailored to the client’s needs, as well as how to commission and hand over the system. The course also covers the legal aspects of installing these systems, along with guidance on how to complete and submit all necessary notifications.
