Dumfries and Galloway College is calling on everyone in its staff, students, and wider community to become an Eco Hero.
As part of a series of events to celebrate Scotland’s climate week, 13-17 September, the South of Scotland college is urging everyone to consider the actions they have taken that will help our society achieve a net-zero future.
The college is asking for stories about people who have been going the extra mile, from using a reusable coffee cup for their morning coffee or cleaning rubbish from a beach, to come forward and share them.
Three prizes of a £50 Costa Coffee voucher are up for grabs for the best stories of caring for the climate.
The draw is open to everyone and submissions can be made to the Dumfries and Galloway College Facebook and Twitter pages by commenting on the Eco Hero posts.
Winners will be announced after 19 September and the contest can be followed using the #ecohero.
Dumfries and Galloway College is proud of its record of environmentalism and promoting the green agenda and especially of the part its staff, students, and stakeholders have played in achieving this.
“We know that we can all take small steps to help benefit out environment, and we at Dumfries and Galloway College are keen to hear about them.
Principal Joanna Campbell
