Welcome Days at DGC | Dumfries and Galloway College

Join us for our Welcome Days this July at Dumfries and Galloway College, held at both our Dumfries and Stranraer campuses!

Designed for students starting in August, these special days offer a fantastic opportunity to explore the campus, meet your fellow students, connect with staff, and receive any assistance you may need before the academic year begins.

From securing funding to completing your enrolment, our Welcome Days ensure you’re fully prepared for the exciting journey ahead.

Welcome Days are completely optional and are simply an extra opportunity to settle in early. All students will still be invited to attend their induction day before classes begin, where you’ll receive all the essential information for starting your course.

Stranraer campus

Unfortunately, due to ongoing building works on campus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Welcome Day. The works will significantly impact our ability to provide tours and host the event as planned, and rather than offer a reduced experience, we feel it is best to cancel.

We appreciate this may be disappointing, especially if you were looking forward to visiting the campus before the start of term. If you would still like to speak to someone before term begins, Jo will be available for a drop-in session on:

You’re welcome to come along if you would like help with your funding application, have any additional support needs you’d like to discuss, or simply have any questions about starting college.
