Introduction

This course is for you if you already have a good level of English and want to continue developing your skills for work, further study, or everyday life.

You will improve your reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while building confidence in using English in more detailed and complex situations. The course will help you understand and communicate more effectively in work, study, and social settings.

You will learn how to understand more advanced written and spoken English, express ideas clearly, complete more challenging tasks, and use different forms of communication and media to support learning and everyday communication.

The course will also help you become more independent and confident when using English in a wide range of real-life situations.

After successfully completing Higher ESOL, students may be able to apply for college courses at SCQF Level 6 or above, depending on their qualifications and chosen subject area. This can support progression into further study, training, or employment opportunities.
