Is the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course suitable for me?

From enrolling you will be receiving both the PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner course materials. Therefore, this is suitable for all levels of project managers that want to begin their careers in the industry, to those wanting to refresh their knowledge and gain the qualifications.

For those wanting to increase their employability, this course would be a great starting point by learning top of the range project management skills and gaining a well-renowned qualification.

Practitioners that have acquired the PRINCE2® 6th Edition certificate do not need to retake the updated 2017 exams. However, we recommend all new content that is covered.

We recommend all individuals who want to study the PRINCE2® Foundation level to have some basic understanding of project management to ensure you receive the most value. Although, no prior experience or qualifications are required.

Discover the key concepts relating to projects and understand the PRINCE2 Principles, including continued business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities, manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products, and tailor to suit the product.

Learn all the PRINCE2 themes: Business Case, Organisation, Quality, Plans, Risk, Change and Progress, and understand how these themes can be applied throughout the project.

Understand how to follow the project lifecycle from start to finish with the seven PRINCE2 Processes: starting a project, directing a project, initiating a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing stage boundaries and closing a project.

Syllabus (6th Edition)

  • Advance your understanding of the PRINCE2 methodology to Practitioner level and learn how to apply the seven PRINCE2 Principles within your project.
  • Understand how to apply and tailor relevant aspects of the seven PRINCE2 Themes in context.
  • Study the seven PRINCE2 Processes and learn how to apply and tailor them in context.
  • To gain PRINCE2 certification, you are required to take two exams – one closed-book and one open-book.

Aim: To measure whether you can act as an informed member of a project management team, using PRINCE2® methodology throughout a project environment.

Exam Format – Multiple-choice.

Number of questions – 60.

Duration – 60-mins.

Pass mark – 33/60 (55%).

Open book – No.

PRINCE2 Practitioner

Aim: To measure whether you can apply the PRINCE2® methodology to run and manage a non-complex project within a project environment.

Exam Format – Objective testing.

Number of questions – 68.

Duration – 150-mins.

Pass mark – 38/68 (55%).
