Introduction
Level 4 Hairdressing and Beauty allows you the choice of sampling hairdressing, beauty, and make-up disciplines while gaining a qualification which meets the needs of the Hair and Beauty industries. The hairdressing and beauty course is intended to develop your knowledge and skills to prepare for a career in hairdressing, beauty, and or make-up Artistry.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entrance requirements.
To get the best out of this course you should enjoy working in a creative environment and have a real interest in the beauty and hair industry. You must be able to commit to consistent, full attendance throughout the course.
Information and Interview Session Requirements
Once we have received your application you will be asked to attend an informal information and interview session.
Learners will be required to attend a face-to-face interview or an interview on teams’ video to further discuss your application. You’ll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you’re interested in this subject area.
You must confirm your attendance should you be offered an appointment.
During the information and interview session, we will ensure the entry requirements and your aspirations and career plan are appropriate for the course and the level of course you have applied for. It is therefore important that you prepare well for this.

Assessments
Assessments are carried out towards the end of the units. Assessments are practical in nature, reflecting the practical emphasis of the Units, testing the expertise in each of the subject areas. With small elements of theory and written work.
Progression
On successful completion of the course, students can apply for Ladies Hairdressing, Beauty, or makeup artistry @ level 5.
