Dumfries and Galloway College is offering a package of childhood studies courses to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
The booking fee of £10 per course will be donated to help improve the lives of at-risk children across the UK.
Students who enrol on the courses will be supported by an open learning tutor and will be able to study at their own pace.
The courses have been chosen to help students increase their awareness and skills in dealing with childhood illnesses.
Those interested can enrol until 30 November and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
The subjects offered as part of the series are Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health, Understanding Childhood Illnesses, Certificate in Understanding Autism, and Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges.
Dumfries and Galloway College is proud to play its role in supporting those caring for children, fulfilling its duty as a corporate parent, and of working with BBC Children in Need to help make life better for kids across the country.
Principal Joanna Campbell said:
“BBC Children in Need is an extremely worthy cause and we at Dumfries and Galloway College are proud to be playing our part to support it.
“These courses will help our students be better equipped to help the young people in their lives and will boost their awareness of a whole range of important issues.
“I would strongly encourage anyone who is interested to take advantage of this offer and to register as soon as they can as places are limited.”
