Level 2 Certificate in Lean Organisation Management

Introduction

This qualification will enhance your understanding of lean organisation techniques and the skills necessary to work efficiently within a team in the business sector. As part of your continuous professional development, this course offers the skills and knowledge required to implement lean organisation practices and business improvement strategies.

The aim of this qualification is to enhance learners’ knowledge and understanding of providing services in business that drive performance improvement. The content is relevant to all sectors and work areas focused on improving performance.

The objectives of the qualification are to:

  • Equip learners with the skills needed to work effectively in a team within the business sector.

This qualification is ideal for learners currently in or aiming for roles that involve business improvement. It is also suitable for individuals in business environments who want to gain a deeper understanding of business improvement techniques and practices.

Entry Requirements

Suitable for those learners aged 19 or above and have a good level of communication skills.

When applying for this course you will be asked to supply a copy of your ID, which can be either a passport, driving licence, birth certificate or national identity card

You can only study one course at a time.

This course is split into 3 manageable units:

Unit 1: Lean organisation techniques in business

Section 1: The features of a lean environment

Section 2: Performing a productivity needs analysis

Section 3: Devising a map of a process

Unit 2: Business improvement techniques

Section 1: The principles of the Kaizen strategy

Section 2: The principles underpinning organisation of a business environment

Section 3: Using visual indicators to make improvements to the work environment

Section 4: Eliminating variance from workplace processes

Unit 3: Effective teamwork in business

Section 1: The features of an effective team

Section 2: Working effectively within a team

Section 3: What is required of a team leader

Assessments

Learners will need to complete a series of tutor-marked assignments (typically one after each unit) as they move through the course. Each assignment will include a range of tasks and questions. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to track progress, and you will receive constructive feedback to support you in meeting the required standards for each unit.
