Introduction
This qualification is designed to equip learners with knowledge and skills required to administer first aid and to assist in gaining employment in a childcare environment.
This qualification is suitable for those working with children, eg nursery and school staff, childminders, parent helpers and also other learners who wish to develop their first aid skills further.
This course is a very practical course so you must be able to get up and down from the floor. Learners are expected to perform CPR on a manikin on the floor for a minimum of 2 minutes. Due to the nature of regulated first aid assessment, there will be a requirement to work in very close proximity with others.
