IOSH Managing Safely
Introduction
This course aims to ensure that people employed as line managers appreciate safety requirements. It will enable them to review their own departmental systems for safety, introduce new controls, or implement changes as appropriate to ensure safety in the workplace.

We offer a variety of different learning styles:
Face-to-Face: 3 Full Days onsite plus 45 minute exam
Blended Learning: 3 days of Live delivery by Microsoft Teams with two x 2 hour sessions per day.
1 day attendance at College to undertake final assessment currently at Dumfries Campus.
All learners will be expected to undertake directed study and complete the “Risk Assessment Project” in their own time. When enrolling on this program of learning you should ensure that you make the whole of your working day dedicated to IOSH and not only the Live Sessions.

Entry Requirements
Blended Learning - It is essential that as a learner on this program that you have access to a camera enabled device and internet connectivity at the location you are attending Live Sessions. 100% attendance is expected for all live sessions and is a requirement of the Awarding Organisation so to being entered for final examination.
It is recommended that learners undergoing IOSH Managing Safely Courses have a base knowledge in Health and Safety and some Health and Safety remit as part of their job role. No formal qualification is required for entry to this program.

Assessments
Final assessment for this qualification includes successful completion and passing of a practical risk assessment project and by a multi-format examination of 45 minute duration on Day 4 which will be in College.
